March is here and you may be wondering what games you can get your hands on. Well, fear not because Thenerdstash.com has a list of some of the biggest games that you can grab off of store shelves this month. Most of them meaty in nature and possibly even game of the year contenders.
1# Ghost Recon Wildlands – March 3rd
Ghost Recon Wildlands is an open world, tactical shooter, where you play as a fictionalized military group known as the Ghosts. The game, set in Bolivia, pits the Ghosts against a rapidly growing Mexican cartel. Wildlands will be the first open world Ghost Recon game and will move away from the futuristic setting of recent entries into the series. This isn’t a game for bullet sponges. This is a game where you quietly and intelligently survey your surroundings, line up your shots as a team, and utilize one of the many vehicles around you in your escape.

2# Zelda: Breath of the Wild – March 3rd
19 games into the Zelda series and we get Breath of the Wild. The game stars an amnesiac Link who has just awoken from a hundred year slumber. Breath of the Wild features a sprawling open world and an art style akin to Windwaker. The player is placed in the world with little instruction, and given countless tools to intuitively use to solve environmental puzzles and tackle dungeons. You can either pick up Zelda on Wii U or on the Switch.

3# Mass Effect: Andromeda – March 21st
Mass Effect: Andromeda will throw players into a new universe later this month. Discover the Andromeda system as you and 10,000 other colonists look for a new home planet amongst the stars. You play as the pathfinder, either Scott or Sarah Ryder. Andromeda will feature familiar beats such as companion missions, the ability to romance squad mates and diverse dialogue trees. However it is also putting a focus back on exploration and heavier RPG elements, much like the original game. And will be introducing a jetpack and easy to switch between skills for a better sense of flow within combat.

4# The Walking Dead: A New Frontier (Episode 3) – March
At some point in March we will also get our hands on the third instalment of The Walking Dead: A New Frontier. A New Frontier put us in the shoes of a young man named Javier trying to protect his family years after the world’s demise. In episode 1 and 2 we saw the return of many well documented Telltale staples, such as jaw dropping twists and diverse, branching, dialogue choices. We met a formidable group of survivors known as The New Frontier and were also reunited with the protagonist of the previous game, Clementine. Who knows what the next chapter in this game will offer.

5# Skylar and Plux: Adventure on Clover Island – March
Another game we don’t know the exact release date for is Skylar and Plux. But the developers seem adamant that it will be in March. This 3D platformer pays homage to the games of our youth. The game seems to take inspiration from experiences such as Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy and Ratchet and Clank. With its colourful worlds, simple premise, lovable looking characters and focus on collecting, this one looks to tickle the fancy of both adults and kids.
