In the world of gacha games, there is one thing that we love doing as fans: shipping characters. By shipping, I don’t mean putting them in a box and sending them away. No. If you’re unfamiliar with the term, it’s basically imagining two characters forming a couple and just gushing about it. Zenless Zone Zero is one of those HoYoverse games where the ship force is at its strongest. It might be due to all the characters being eye candy or just the fact that we have a lot of free time that we start creating relationships among them. Whatever the case, we’ve prepared a list of all the ships we believe are the best in Zenless Zone Zero.
10) Billy & Grace
Let’s start with one that might not seem too obvious, but it looks pretty obvious to some of us: Billy and Grace. We all know that the latter is obsessed with machines. There are videos proving it, and most of her dialogues in the story show that as well. Who’s a cyborg/android? Good old Billy. We bet Grace would love to tinker around with this Cunning Hare, and we don’t think Billy would be against it. As long as Billy stays in one piece, we’ll let this ship happen.
9) Lighter & Burnice
Call us corny, but the two fiery characters deserve to be together. One is literally called Lighter, and well, Burnice has “burn” in her name and is a registered pyromaniac (at least in our books). They’d be the perfect match. Plus, they would complement each other perfectly. Lighter is a bit quieter and mysterious, while Burnice is out of her mind—a perfect couple if you ask us.
8) Wise & Zhu Yuan
Moving on to a more romantic ship, at least in our books, Zhu Yuan and the male protagonist of Zenless Zone Zero would make a perfect match. There is one particular scene we don’t want to spoil where both have an interaction, and it is superb. Ever since that occurred, people have been shipping the older sibling with the ideal police officer, and you know what? We can back up that ship.
7) Lycaon & Ben Bigger
This one goes for the furry gang out there. So far, the furry department has been lacking, at least in playable character terms. So, why not ship our two boys? Lycaon would be the elegant one with a savage side, while Ben would be the big boy who is actually a softie. We dare you to find a more perfect couple in this world full of Thiren.
6) Nicole & Anby
Many might be against this one, but we can see it happening. Nicole and Anby are terrific co-workers, but they’d make a fantastic couple, too. Think about it. Anby and Nicole are two sides of the same coin. In whatever interaction they have, Anby knows everything about the latter. Yes, it might be for friendship and work matters, but if that blooms into a relationship, it would be perfect. At least Nicole would be amazing at keeping track of all Nicole’s debts, so that’s a huge bonus.
5) Yanagi & Miyabi
After watching Yanagi’s demo, we realized how both Miyabi and the pink-haired deputy chief are so committed to each other. Again, it might be a friendship thing, but the Void Hunter went out of her way to get Yanagi her favorite buns, and that’s just extremely cute. Plus, we can see them complementing each other. Yanagi pays attention to everything, and while Miyabi can be a bit distracted, she’d be a big help to Yanagi. It’d be a killer combo.
4) Wise & Miyabi
Wise will take the crown for the next two entries, and Miyabi makes an appearance again. One of the most wholesome trust events involves these two, and while Belle could also make it to the ship, Wise fits much better. Miyabi would be a fantastic pick for the older sibling, and we’re sure the Void Hunter wouldn’t hesitate to save Phaeton in any situation. But really, just do Miyabi’s trust event; it’s pretty good and will make anyone fall in love with this Thiren.
3) Wise & Caesar
Don’t let Caesar’s looks fool you; she’s quite romantic under that biker gang leader exterior. If you watched her demo, you know she loves reading romantic manga and enjoys those rom-com moments. Who would be the perfect fit for the Sons of Calydon leader? Our beloved Wise. We only hope that in an alternate universe, Caesar and Wise could’ve been classmates because it would unfold into a romantic comedy worthy of getting its own anime, and our biker girl deserves all the wholesomeness in the world.
2) Lycaon & Rina
Whenever we looked at Victoria Housekeeping, we just knew these two had some mom and dad vibes, or mommy and daddy if that suits you better. Rina and Lycaon would make a terrific couple. They are both elegant, powerful, and just stylish in every sense of the word. While we ship Lycaon with almost every single character in the game, having him with Rina just makes a lot more sense.
1) Seth & Jane
You knew we had to save the best ship of Zenless Zone Zero for the last. While all the above ships are like wild fever dreams, this one has a few foundations. People only had to play Jane’s episode to start shipping these two. Good cop and bad cop together. That one guy who is lawful good with a neutral evil lady. It’s a perfect match. Even if it seems like mixing water and oil, in truth, it’s the perfect ship and one that might even become canon if we cross our fingers hard enough.
Ultimately, these are all just fictional ships for Zenless Zone Zero, and there aren’t any indications of them happening. Still, dreaming doesn’t hurt, does it? Also, we only included the playable characters up to Version 1.4 because those are the ones that have shown their personality so far. However, if Astra Yao and Evelyn end up making a splash, you can bet your gacha pulls that we’ll update this list accordingly.
