Tori Spelling has fans rallying around her after her painful eviction from Dancing with the Stars. The actress came into the reality dance competition strong, ready to rebrand amid her divorce from Dean McDermott. Unfortunately, they axed her in the second week, sparking angry reactions from her supporters.
On Tuesday night, the contestants showed out for Oscars Night, paying tribute to their favorite films through their dance numbers. Despite the excitement of the theme, the dancers were on their toes due to the lack of eliminations in Week 1. Spelling and her partner Pasha Pashkov took to the stage to perform a Rumba to “This Is Me” from The Greatest Showman.
Unfortunately, their electric rendition only earned a 19 out of 30 score from the judges. At the end of the night, Spelling alongside Heiress Anna Delvey was eliminated after live votes and judges’ scores were combined. In an interview with Extra, the BH902010 alum explained that she joined the competition to inspire courage in her kids. However, despite achieving that, she feels hurt by the sudden eviction.
“I am sad, obviously. I just feel like I just started my journey and I was changing so much and really finding myself through this.”
Tori Spelling Receives Encouragement From Angry Fans
Fans agreed with Spelling’s sentiment about her growth and concluded they evicted her a little too soon. “I feel like Tori was robbed. She definitely didn’t deserve to be in the bottom two,” one comment read. Another angry fan lamented:
“This was a ridiculous elimination. Tori far outdanced the two seniors among others. Her energy and dedication were so fun to watch. Looked forward to her improving every week. Shame on days. What a disappointment.”
A third user remarked, “Tori Spelling was robbed!!! I could care less about Anna going, but Tori deserved better.” A fourth added, “If you would have told me a week ago, I would be screaming justice for Tori Spelling; I would have laughed in your face. But here we are #DWTS.”
