Travis Kelce and his Kansas City Chiefs teammate Patrick Mahomes both had their homes broken into last month. The Super Bowl-winning quarterback and tight end were the victims of a breaking and entering that saw them have their privacy violated, their safety questioned, and some personal items stolen. In addition, the break-ins happened while global superstar Taylor Swift was in town to cheer on Kelce and the Chiefs during an NFL game.
TMZ reports that the feds have gotten involved in the case. They’re working with the Kansas City local police to investigate the burglaries. The outlet suggests that the federal involvement makes these cases a pretty serious ordeal, and not just because Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift, and Patrick Mahomes are stars.
It’s alleged that the feds wouldn’t be involving themselves in the investigation if the burglaries were common robberies. Instead, their presence suggests that the cases could be linked to organized crime that crosses state lines.
Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes’ Houses Broken Into While Taylor Swift Visisted Kansas City
Mahomes reportedly had his home broken into first. The crime took place around midnight on October 6. The next day, Kelce’s Leawood mansion was burglarized just as the Chiefs kicked off for Monday Night Football. In addition, Swift was in town for the game, and would have likely returned to Kelce’s home afterward.
Kelce’s backdoor was reportedly damaged during the break-in. It’s also reported that the criminals stole $20,000 worth of cash from his home. However, it’s unclear if Mahomes had anything taken from his house during the burglaries. Meanwhile, the athletes aren’t the only ones who were victims. Nearby homes were also broken into during the that time.
Fans on Reddit discussed the crimes, even revealing that it seems like it could be someone that the athletes know.

Taylor Swift Has Had Multiple Stalkers In The Past
While the break-ins are a huge invasion of privacy for both Kelce and Mahomes, it may also have Swift shaking in her boots. The singer has dealt with some serious security threats in the past. This includes multiple stalkers over the years.
During her career, men such as Mitchell Taebel, Joshua Christian, Eric Swarbrick, Roger Alvarado, and David Liddle have all been accused of stalking the star. Many have been arrested for trespassing at her homes in Rhode Island, Nashville, and New York. Alvarado even used the singer’s shower and slept in her bed after breaking into her Tribeca apartment, per Newsweek.
So far, Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift, and Patrick Mahomes are all staying quiet about the burglaries. However, the stars may need to look into extra security moving forward.
