Travis Kelce’s concert etiquette is being questioned after he was seen texting at a recent Taylor Swift concert. On Friday, March 8, a TikTok user shared a video of Swift performing her hit single “I Knew You Were Trouble” in Singapore. As they turned around to catch Kelce’s reaction to the song’s chorus, the NFL star was caught looking down on his phone. The moment has received a mixed reaction from fans online.
Travis Kelce Caught Texting During Taylor Swift’s Concert In Singapore
Despite bumping his head while jamming along to Swift’s performance, some thought Kelce wasn’t paying enough attention. For example, the user who posted the video appeared to criticize Kelce’s behavior by sarcastically saying that he was “giving supportive bf.”
While some agreed that he was being rude toward Swift, the majority of fans defended him. They pointed out that Swift’s concert is nearly four hours long, so it was totally normal for Kelce to pull out his phone at least once during her show. Another person said that Kelce has already attended the Eras Tour “many times,” so him missing a few seconds of a performance isn’t a big deal. Some even joked that he probably took out his phone to send videos of Swift’s concert to his friends and family.
Kelce first attended Swift’s Eras Tour in July 2023. At the time, the stars weren’t dating. However, they got together later that summer. After they went public with their relationship, Kelce flew to Argentina in November to watch Swift perform in Buenos Aires. Most recently, the football player attended Swift’s concert in Sydney on Feb. 23 before catching two of her latest shows in Singapore on March 8 and 9.
