Prince William left quite the impression on Travis Kelce. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end never expected he’d be in a situation to meet someone royal, but that changed last weekend.
At girlfriend Taylor Swift’s concert, Travis Kelce and brother Jason got the chance to meet the Prince of Wales — who was in attendance with two of his three kids, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
On his weekly podcast New Heights, Travis called Prince William “the coolest motherf–ker.”
Travis Was Charmed By George and Charlotte
Travis was caught by surprise by his royal encounter. He didn’t know he would meet the Prince of Wales ahead of time. As a result, he wasn’t quite sure what to do, but he was certainly excited.
There was royalty at the show. I was fortunate enough that I didn’t get caught in traffic long enough to where I got there early and got to meet Prince William. How about that! Your royal highness, Prince William!

Travis and Jason went on to explain that they were briefed on how to act around the royal ahead of the group of three’s arrival.
[I] wasn’t sure if I was supposed to bow to them, curtsy, just be an American idiot and shake their hands. We wanted to be polite.

Kelce spoke highly of the backstage meeting and called the royal kiddos “an absolute delight to meet.” Jason agreed, complimenting both the royal kids for being fun to be around. He explained that he feels like they’re growing up the way kids should be.
[Princess Charlotte] was a superstar. I love it when parents ask their kids to be present, be vocal… Such a good parent move, you know what I mean? Just a good meet and a picture and to keep it moving, no. Listen, let ‘em have a moment, let ’em feel comfortable in talking to people.

Prince William and Taylor Swift weren’t meeting for the first time, as Travis also explained on the podcast. Looking back at their one-time karaoke trio with Jon Bon Jovi, the NFL star commended his girlfriend for getting Prince William “out of his shell.”
“Sure enough he went up there and they ripped it, and they said he had a blast and I’m just like, I don’t know if any other prince is doing that. You know what I mean? In terms of royalty… It seems like they like to sit back and the show is the show, but he was cool enough to be a part of it. But that just shows you how personable he is.”
