The NFL player had some truly shocking things to say about Taylor Swift and just women in general. According to TMZ, Butker’s speech included a rant about Joe Biden, COVID policies, the LGBTQ+ community, and abortion. The Super Bowl champ also stated that he believes the most important role a woman can play in life is being a “homemaker.”

Harrison Butker even used a line from Taylor Swift’s Bejeweled to get his point across. He referred to Swift as just “his teammate’s girlfriend.” Although he attacked multiple groups of people, the Swifties were the first to strike back on social media.
“A billionaire businesswoman, Time’s Person of the Year, a woman whose tour was cited for saving the US economy versus a guy who can kick a ball between some pieces of metal consistently,” one fan said.
“You’re a pathetic clown,” wrote another. Another fan commented, “His mother’s career allowed him the luxury of kicking a ball and not getting hit for a living. Women have the right to decide for themselves what is and isn’t fulfilling. Thank you very much.”
Although the Chiefs have yet to address this horrible speech, fans know it is coming sooner rather than later.
