Concerned citizens continue to stand up to politicians as tension increases across the nation. One such incident was when a brave woman in a Washington, DC, restaurant called out the Treasury Secretary, and he, in turn, booed her, spat in his food, and dramatically stormed out of the restaurant.
An eyewitness recounted the encounter in a TikTok video, stating that a lady in the restaurant got up and clinked her glass to draw the attention of the people. Once everyone had quieted down, she announced that they had a special moment among themselves, saying she wanted to give a toast to the secretary, Scott Bessent, who began to smile, thinking she was a supporter or something. Ironically, the woman began to state all that he and the entire administration had done wrong.
Matching the woman’s energy and surprising onlookers, Bessent booed her. The eyewitness recalled that after a while, Bessent then got up and spat in his food before storming out of the restaurant.“What a drama queen,” the eyewitness commented, before adding a clip from the restaurant fiasco. The customer calling out Bessent accused the administration of the death of over 600,000 people, “The blood is on your hands,” she added. After it all played out, another customer said, “Oh my God, this is so DC.”
Many TikTokers echoed the customer’s sentiment, flooding the comments.

While another wrote, “No one in this administration should know peace if they are out in public.” Many others agreed with them. “No one who had anything to do with the Trump administration should be able to enjoy public spaces,” a netizen stated.
