John Rafacz has left CoD as Treyarch’s Communication Director to Join the Apex Legends team. The icon has left one epic franchise to join another massive one, indicating his prowess in his industry. John will start working with Apex on Monday, May 15, 2023. He will take on the role of Head of Global Communications at his new station, Apex Legends. This move will shift the responsibilities of the current Head of Global Communications at EA, who has been handling the game. In turn, players can expect better services and feedback.

Following his tweet @jrafacz, he is starting his new job today at Apex Legends as Head of Global Communications. He will be assuming this post after working as Treyarch’s communications for over a decade now. And given his impeccable record with the franchise, it is imminent that Rafacz will improve the communication in his new post.
A few months ago, Electronic Arts shared a vacancy opening to the public. The team wished to add a new staff member who would suitably work as Apex Legends’ Head of Global Communications.

According to the EA opening, Rafacz will be taking on the following responsibilities;
- Reports to General Manager, Apex, at Respawn Entertainment
- Understand and connect with current and potential Apex Legends players globally
- Welcome and help players understand the Apex Legends community
- Craft bold and innovative campaigns and strategies which delight players and confound competitors
- Consume and understand community feedback; distill and share highlights internally.
- As a key voice of the player-craft and appropriate champion recommendations
- Lead and managed a team of twelve, including strong, experienced talent in four verticals: Social Media, Creator & Influencer Relations, Public Relations, and Core Community.
- Build and maintain a strong, trust-based network of partners in-studio and within and outside.
The new Apex Legends‘ Head of Global Communications is happy to join his new position. At the same time, CoD wishes him well in his journey and add that they will miss his work as the Head of Communication at Treyarch.
