Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies is now en route for a full-scale resurrection of BO4‘s Chaos story with a taste of the Aether narrative, making everything canon all at once. That means characters like Alister Rhodes and his daughter Scarlett were in this universe in the past, and well, it seems like we’re never going to see them in the Black Ops 6 Zombies story ever, thanks to a new bundle released by Treyarch.
If you don’t know what I’m talking about, it’s because the bundle is not out in the CoD HQ’s store yet, but we’ve already seen it in the S2 Reloaded blog post. Scarlett Rhodes is one of the main characters of the Zombies Chaos storyline that was left behind back in the BO4 days of fighting the undead. However, she was teased in The Tomb audio log files within the game, and we had hopes for her to return somehow in the story.
One of the coolest theories that would absolutely rocket boost the Black Ops 6 Zombies storyline could’ve been the return of the Chaos crew back in time. A map set in like, 70 years prior to the events of BO6 Zombies all about how to activate the Sentinel Artifacts could’ve gone crazy with the fan base. Treyarch could also go with all the elements they want, like fighting elephant zombies or whatever in this map set in the old times just like we had in BO4.
However, the chance is kind of killed right now because Scarlett Rhodes isn’t going to return to the Black Ops 6 Zombies story. Instead, Treyarch is giving us a skin for Maya so that she can wear Scarlett’s clothes. Even if they didn’t want to include the Chaos crew in the story, it could’ve been much better if we had Scarlett Rhodes as her own separate operator to buy, right?
This Is Why Call of Duty Has an Identity Crisis These Days

No offense to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but Call of Duty has its own lore and set of cool characters to show off. Imagine this: We have a new BO6 Season and its event is about the Chaos or OG Black Ops crew to return with a taste of some side story or tale going on. We’ve got Hudson, Mason, Scarlett, and all these super awesome CoD characters that can actually make sense to be added to the game. But what do we get for Black Ops 6‘s Seasonal content? A Korean killer doll and turtles.
Call of Duty is following Fortnite‘s footsteps without even trying these days. All the bundles, animations, and events are based on the media that has nothing to do with CoD. No, maybe CoD isn’t the mil-sim it used to be 15 years ago, but that doesn’t mean we can have unicorns and anime-like characters in the middle of a serious war after the Cold War.
Instead of rooting for its own characters, CoD is doing nothing but collaborations. Imagine all the effort that goes into the design for the Squid Game cutscene teaser and the TMNT bundles and events go into an event that reveals Bell or Case’s backstories or more Black Ops 6 Zombies story with secrets and hidden easter eggs. MW 2019 and BOCW had the theme of CoD at least.
