A popular Twitch streamer with affiliations to brands like OTK (co-founded by Asmongold) has recently made things awkward for everyone at a live-streamed Lunar New Year event after she unhesitatingly performed a Nazi salute. The streamer in question is none other than itsKachii or just Katchii though she has since apologized for the gesture right after the backlash.
The incident took place on February 4 when OTK, a streamer and influencer brand and collective, held a live event for the Chinese Lunar New Year in a rooftop restaurant. One of the Hibachi grill chefs asked Katchii to put her right hand on her chest, presumably to prepare her for a food toss right into her mouth.
However, Katchii performed a Nazi salute– live on camera, shortly after she placed her right hand on her chest. The clip has since been removed from Twitch, but it’s not exactly something one can easily erase from the internet. X users were quick to repost, courtesy of @Awk20000:
Apparently, the numerous streamers and influencers present at the party, such as Emiru, even had their moderators ban any mention of Katchii’s gesture on their streaming sessions. Katchii, as we mentioned before, has apologized for the incident.
She Said It was the Alcohol
Strangely enough, Katchii’s apology was limited to her Discord server. Katchii admitted that what she did was “stupid” and further clarified that she was not a “Nazi.” Additionally, the Twitch streamer claimed that alcohol has a negative effect on her and that she was going to quit drinking after what she did, likely to avoid other embarrassing actions.
“What I did was stupid, and if there’s anything I learned from this, it’s that I cannot handle alcohol even in the slightest… I’m quitting. I don’t remember anything after sitting down at Hibachi… I was trying to be funny, but obviously, I was insensitive and just plain dumb… I’m obviously not a Nazi or a racist wtf,” recalled Katchii during her explanation on Discord.
So, it’s fair to expect that we won’t be seeing any more odd salutes from Katchii from now on, now that she has sworn off alcohol. In addition to the Nazi salute, the Twitch streamer has also been accused of assaulting one of the dragon dance performers during the Lunar New Year event.
It’s worth noting that Katchii has ties with OTK and her current boyfriend, Nick Polom is even an executive and co-owner of the brand, along with Asmongold.
Other Nazi Saluters
Katchii is notably not alone in her gestures. Earlier in January 2025, Elon Musk performed the Nazi salute during Donald Trump’s live inauguration event, something that might have kickstarted the trend among other internet personalities.
Not even a month after Musk’s gesture, God is a Geek owner Calvin Robinson also performed a Nazi salute during an anti-abortion summit. Robinson’s actions have led to his staff resigning en masse to distance themselves from the man as is the proper response to someone performing the salute.
