This week’s new comics finds both of Marvel’s Spider-Men taking on a mutated version of a classic villain. Miles Morales and Peter Parker find themselves face-to-face with a strange Jackal in The Spectacular Spider-Men #2. While the two heroes gain the upper hand and defeat this mutant villain, this is just the beginning. Things begin to get even more strange for the wallcrawlers. Meanwhile, Marvel is also bringing new Avengers, Captain Marvel, Ghost Rider, and Spider-Boy adventures this week. Plus, the Fall of X continues to rage in House of the Fall of X #4.

This week’s Spectacular Spider-Men finds Peter Parker and Miles Morales dealing with a mutated Jackal. As the duo fights and defeats the odd version of the villain, they think this strangeness is over. However, a burnt body brings both wallcrawlers back into this strangeness. While the law tries to identify this crispy corpse, Peter Parker arrives and makes a connection. He believes that the corpse is tied to the original Jackal, AKA Miles Warren. This leads to a race against the clock for both Spider-Men to track down Miles Warren and get to the bottom of this.

The Spectacular Spider-Men #2 comes from writer Greg Weisman and artists Humberto Ramos and Victor Olazaba. It also features colorist Edgar Delgado and letterer Joe Caramagna. The issue’s main cover features art from Ramos and Delgado. Meanwhile, variant cover artists include Carmen Carnero, Nolan Woodard, Mike McKone, Alex Sinclair, Will Sliney, and Rachell Rosenberg.
