Death doesn’t mean as much in the afterlife of Bleach. Yet True Resurrection isn’t about bringing your loved ones back. True Res is the name of a Hollow power equivalent to Bankai. Arrancar have their work cut out for them as they climb the ranks from Fishbone and Adjuchas to Vasto Lorde, but True Res is worth the investment. With a set of powers as varied and deadly as Bankai, Hollow can pose an existential threat to their Quincy and Shinigami enemies. If it’s good enough for Ulquiorra, it’s good enough for us. How to Get Res in Type Soul

The Hollow progression path from Fishbone to True Resurrection is a long one. To get Full Res in Type Soul you’ll need to complete a list of tasks. While the first portion of the quest is straightforward, the second becomes a grind. Here’s what you need to do:
- Get 15 raid wins
- Speak with the warehouse NPC in Karakura Town and get the “Unequaled. Unrivaled” dialog to confirm you’ve met the requirement
- Travel to Hueco Mundo
- Visit the library on the second floor of the main building
- Interact with the black book with its cover sticking out
Interacting with the black book will begin the second stage of the quest to get Full Res in Type Soul. Unfortunately, this is where the grind sets in. Grab a snack and your sharpest sword, because we’ve got some battles ahead. Here’s what you need to do next:
- Kill 15 Quincies or Shinigami
- Kill 80 Hollows
- Kill Bawabawa or Jidanbo
Menos Woods and Quest Conclusion
Enter the crack in the ground in Hueco Mundo to reach the Menos Woods. Once there, climb the tree overhanging the cliff to reach the cave (pictured above). Meditate beside the sword within. You will be teleported to a white room containing Hollows, and you’ll need to pick the right one. If you fail, you’ll need to wait for the cooldown to elapse before trying again. Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be any easy way to tell which Hollow is right. Once you pick the right Hollow, you’ll receive Full Res in Type Soul. Time to see whether you’re the next Ulquiorra.
