One UK Mother‘s cocaine-fueled school run turned to chaos recently when she caused a stir during morning dropoff. Hayley Berry, 36, grabbed attention when she parked her vehicle in the middle of the road while trying to get her children out the door and off to school for the day. Other parents immediately became concerned by Berry’s behavior, and it was later revealed that she had driven her kids to school high on cocaine.
After displaying unusual behavior, other parents doing their morning school run noticed the mother’s cocaine-fueled impairment and began to intervene. One stranger worried that Hayley Berry wasn’t fit to drive and snatched her car keys away from her. Meanwhile, others took it upon themselves to walk Berry’s children into school. After the chaos, police were called, and the mother was taken into custody, per The Daily Mail.
Upon appearing in court, Berry was told that her case was “one of the worst examples of drug-driving” ever seen. She was scolded for driving her children under the influence of drugs. Blood tests revealed that the mother had 83 micrograms of cocaine byproduct in her system, while the legal limit is 50. She also reportedly had GHB, a drug that has sedative effects, in her bloodstream at the time of her arrest.
Berry’s attorney, Nigel Numas, revealed that the UK mom has been trying to overcome her drug addiction for some time. However, it’s been a struggle.
Mother’s Cocaine Fueled School Run Causes Chaos And Concern Among Fellow Parents

“The process [of her trying to beat cocaine] has been going on a couple of years, but a man she was seeing gave her what she thought was a legal high and she drank it and didn’t realize it was GHB,” Numas stated. “She’s had two relapses [in the 24 months] so she’s making great strides, but she was naive about what she drank.”
Hayley Berry was ordered to eight weeks in jail with a suspended term of 12 months. She was also to perform 100 hours of community service. She’s also being prevented from driving for 30 months and ordered to pay court fines and fees.
However, her punishment didn’t seem to fit the crime in the opinion of many.
“Social services should be taking the kids away for their own safety,” one person commented on the post.
“Social services should be involved, she is a danger to her children,” another said.
“She should have been sent to prison,” a third person wrote.
“She cannot ever be trusted to drive again,” a fourth comment read.
The most important thing is that the UK mother’s cocaine-fueled school run didn’t result in any injury or harm to her children or anyone else. The chaos that Hayley Berry caused ended with her arrest and, hopefully, a way to get help for her addiction issues.
