The way that some people choose to conduct themselves in public is despicable. Especially when you’re at an event that people paid to see, you’d think you would know how to behave. However, a group of adults at a Broadway show in New York decided to buy tickets and then be as obnoxious as possible. When another attendee called them out for their behavior, they decided to continue being as toxic as possible. He wasn’t about to stand for that.
Kim (@kimbermack) shared a TikTok video of what happened at a recent Broadway show in New York. The video was captioned, “Man reminds us all that we’re sick of you bringing that Disney song-a-long energy to Broadway!!” In a total moment of disrespect, a large group of women was being obnoxious and loud during a Broadway show. An uncle who brought his nieces to the show quickly grew fed up with their behavior. He decided to turn around and announce his feelings to the entire row.
The uncle calls over security and says the entire section of ladies behind him was making a scene, and now “I’m gonna make a scene! Mess with my teenage nieces again.” The ladies appear to laugh and even mock him, and he goes back for round two. The uncle demands security again, saying that the women are being “loud and obnoxious” and using “profanity” in front of his young nieces.
When security approaches, the uncle apologizes for lashing out but clearly wants somebody to do something about the obnoxious and disrespectful women. He explains to the security guard how they were acting and they seem to understand. It’s ridiculous that adult women don’t know how to behave in a literal theater—acting like children and doing way too much. This man’s nieces, who are children, understand maturity better than these women.
One commenter stated, “2026 needs to be the year we bring back public shaming.” People are paying for tickets expecting a nice show, not dealing with a bunch of obnoxious and rude individuals. Another commenter said, “I applaud this man. Theater rudeness needs called out every time. The entire cast and crew work hard for their audience. Nobody has a right to ruin that.” Hopefully, this man and his nieces were able to enjoy the rest of their show in peace.
