It appears recent events have shaken up both sides of the political spectrum in the US, and now certain kinds of people have come forth with newfound motivations, such as what happened to a couple of store employees in Eustis City, Florida. Two store employees were merely going about their day when a man entered their store, looked at one of the workers (who happened to be a person of color), and started threatening to shoot Democrats. The incident has since left the person of color fearful and worried.
This rather disturbing allegation came from TikTok user ouuuitsyannuh, aka Yannuh Baker, also the person-of-color (POC) employee in question. Early in September, Baker recorded an interaction in the auto-parts store where she works; a bald Caucasian man with shades entered the store saying the following:
“I’m ready, I’m ready. I’m locked and loaded for Democrats. I’m locked and loaded for Democrats”
Thankfully, it appears the man went out of the store, as you can hear from the door chimes. However, Baker noted that the man was staring at her while he was threatening to shoot Democrats. “I don’t know why he’s looking at me when he said that,” says Baker, followed by a nervous laughter from her co-worker.
No one seems to be harmed yet from the incident, and Baker decided not to call the police or identify the man who was threatening to shoot or harm Democrats for fear that he might follow through with his threats, since he knows where she works. Apparently, the store also lacks other security features such as cameras or audio recorders, making Baker’s phone the only source of the recording.
People online certainly felt threatened
Even though no one was virtually shot or harmed following the threats to shoot Democrats, many people in the video’s comment section were advising Baker and her co-worker to be careful. Some have suggested that the video could be used as evidence in case a premeditated shooting in the area actually happens. Others were concerned that the man could just be conflating his racism with his disdain toward Democrats, seeing as he kept looking at a POC while making threats.

“They say ‘Democrats’ but they don’t really mean Democrats. He was looking at her because their fight is really with people of color and Democrats have gotten in the way.”

There were comments that questioned why Baker didn’t directly film the man making threats, but she argued that she didn’t want to get shot in case the man was carrying a gun. Also, it’s rather different from a normal altercation because the man was alluding to how he has a gun and could easily shoot anyone whom he perceives as a threat. Hence, it was a tough situation for Baker, even though some viewers were disappointed at the cinematography.
“For what so he can come across this video and come back to the store? Damn you want me to get shot?” replied Baker
“In my lil town the cops would’ve came and said what did he look like. I would’ve said bald white and sunglasses. What would’ve realistically happened next? I don’t waste my time when I know the outcome,” reasons Baker out
