A military veteran in Las Vegas, Nevada, openly celebrated the cartel and multiple gangs targeting ICE agents following the mass deportations across America. She is now being dragged online for her remarks, but is not willing to take any of it back.
The veteran in question, Haley Roberts, shared her “cheerful” clip on Facebook. She is a former Senior Airman for the U.S. Air Force and has been continuously vocal about her political views regarding ICE and the Trump administration. This time around, she appeared to be celebrating violent organizations targeting ICE.
“The cartel is targeting ICE agents,” she said. “And gangs all across America are banding together to fight this [expletive]. I [expletive] needed this good news today. You gotta understand; the cartel and rival gangs coming together to fight you? You [expletive] up. And I am for that [expletive]. Go get ’em, boys.”
Her initial clip was seen close to 150,000 times. However, the overwhelming majority of the comments called her out for what they believe is a very dangerous rhetoric.
“You have to ask the very simple question of why the Cartels have a horse in the same race as you,” one user commented. Another one said, “Tell me you didn’t grow up in Mexico without telling me you didn’t grow up in Mexico.” A third one added, “Apparently, you do not understand very much at all, do you?“
Doubling Down
One user in particular called the Nevada woman a traitor for wanting the cartel and gangs to kill her fellow military men. Haley responded by saying that, while she specifically talked about ICE agents, not the military, she said that she was “totally fine with the cartel taking care of anyone who is a domestic terrorist,” including members of the U.S. Armed Forces.
“So, yeah, I am a veteran, I’m not a traitor. I’m not on the side of domestic terrorism, YOU ARE!” she added. “You can all die a fiery death and rot in [expletive] hell. Former Senior Airman Roberts approves this message.”
Once again, users were not on her side, choosing to call her “unhinged” for openly siding with organizations whose violence has caused so much pain for all, regardless of their immigration status.
