The last year and a half haven’t been great for Drake. It seems like he can’t catch a break, whether within the music industry or outside of it. Unfortunately for him, his OVO’s flagship store in New York was destroyed by an unhinged Black woman. People inside the store filmed her breakdown as she threw clothes to the ground. This isn’t the worst thing that she did because she then takes out a hammer from her bag. Thankfully, her target wasn’t employees. She instead targeted the windows inside the store, repeatedly smashing them. Her attack didn’t end there because she then pulled out a knife from her bag. I don’t want to guess what else she had in there. The one filming the video backs up a little bit when the knife is out, which is honestly wise.
The New York woman continues being unhinged as she uses her knife to slash a piece of clothing inside the store. She then grabs several things and slams them to the ground. The woman then exits the store like she did nothing. Unfortunately for her, the police managed to arrest her just around the corner. While a female police officer was checking out her bag, a man told her to be careful because there was a knife inside. “It was just to cut up his clothes that he stole. My designs,” the criminal then says. Now, that’s interesting. It’s not clear if she is telling the truth or not, but she did look emotional.
Destroying the windows with a hammer and cutting clothes with a knife wasn’t the only thing the woman did while inside the store. According to Page Six, police also accused the woman, named Shauna Stoner, of arson. If she really intended to set the store on fire, then she is insane. The publication also reported that the damages caused by Stoner will cost more than $23,000. So it’s an unlucky day for both her and Drake. Maybe her day is worse than his since she is facing jail time.
People Reacting to the Unhinged New York Black Woman
The New York woman might have committed a crime, but it was Drake who received most of the hate. A lot of people tried justifying her behavior, as one person wrote, “Apparently this lady was in a longtime battle over stolen designs and was being decimated by Drakes high-priced legal team. I personally can understand her sentiments. Many famous artists are know to operate like that.” Another person criticized Drake as well as they wrote, “Also it’s not a secret that Drake is a scumbag in basically every way that you can be a scumbag.” Yeah, he doesn’t have a lot of fans. Someone also joked and brought up Kendrick Lamar as they wrote an imaginary song’s lyrics and said, “Say Drake, I hear you steal designs. If you paid her, then your store would be fine.” That’s a song I would have loved to hear.
The hate in the comments kept being directed at Drake rather than the New York woman. “Drake is an asshole, so why not,” one person wrote. There was one Redditor who tried to be neutral and asked, “Damn what did a celebrity do to you?” Well, they didn’t get the response they might have hoped for. Someone pointed to the allegations that Drake is interested in younger girls and answered, saying, “I’m not an underage girl, so not much other than lower the bar for music.” There was also one person who suggested what they would have done differently. “I woulda just sprayed Not like us all over the front after dark. No jail and better attack on the store lol,” they wrote. And here I thought that people wouldn’t side with the woman. All this hate is probably worse for Drake than his store being destroyed.
