Fans of Dragon Age can rejoice yet again with a recent twitter announcement from creative director for Dragon Age, Mike Laidlaw. Mike Laidlaw, has revealed that BioWare is still working on new story content for the game.
Laidlaw tweeted, “The past three days have been filled with that weird intensity that makes game development kind of addictive. It’s a rush when things come together.”
This comment elicited many questions regarding what game he was working on. One in particular caught his attention, @SomeStrangeFX tweeted, “whatcha working on? you aren’t part of the ME development, are you?”. Laidlaw responded with,”We’re not quite done with story content for [Dragon Age: Inquisition] just yet.”
Once again, many followers of Laidlaw excitedly asked about what the new content would entail. Unfortunately, he did not reveal any additional information about the content itself. He did however confirm that the Hero of Ferelden will not appear and to not hold your breath for the Hero of Ferelden to ever appear as an NPC, tweeting, “I wouldn’t work too hard on that particular hope. I do not feel the HOF would work well as an NPC.”
Nevertheless, this is great news for fans of Dragon Age: Inquisition, although potentially concerning for Mass Effect fans. It will be interesting to see how Bioware works towards developing new content for both games.
What do you think about the news? Are you concerned that the attention spent on developing new Dragon Age content will impede on the quality of Mass Effect 4? Leave your opinions in the comments below!
