A Florida woman took to TikTok to roast American Airlines over what she called the “worst flying experience of [her] entire life.” She proceeds to list a heavy list of complaints. These include no working bathrooms, flight delay, and not being able to locate the entire flight crew. She insists that, “I would rather chew glass than fly American Airlines ever again.”
The series of disasters begins with the app having the wrong terminal. The Florida woman says that it was a good thing she knew her own airport. Events continue to get worse from there. She says there is no entertainment, but this did not bother her. She describes this as “not a problem.” The second plane ups the ante with “no working bathrooms.” The tiny plane, as she describes it, had “three hours between onboarding the plane and deplaning; zero working bathrooms.”
The Florida woman calls out the absurdity, “I’ve seen flights be delayed because a buckle doesn’t clip right.” She continues, “Apparently, bathrooms are not a necessary function to have.” Where this should be the most extreme thing to deal with, the flying experience only went downhill from there.
She then dives into trying to fly back home. She receives an alert from American Airlines that the flight has been delayed. This alert comes with rebooking options. The Florida woman describes these options as “rebooking options the devil himself would not have concocted.” The so-called solution given involves not one but four stops. The new route includes three total transfers and has her traveling to LaGuardia to Miami “to come back up to Orlando.” She explains that she “did the math” and chose not to rebook. She explains how some did choose to rebook “at no extra charge” and that “they chose the devil’s options.”
Florida Woman Details Insanity Of Missing Plane
The Florida woman then received “fifteen minutes before the original boarding time” that the flight was no longer delayed. She sprinted from the lounge to the basement, where they were boarding, only to find that “they are not boarding.” The reason was not that it was delayed, but that the plane wasn’t even there. The woman shares that while she’s not a pilot, she was sure they needed a plane if they’re going “to fly somewhere.”
A mix of announcements follows. First, they are told it’ll be about five to ten minutes. Next, they’re told “the plane is on its way from Washington.” Once it arrives, American Airlines assures it’ll only take twenty minutes. The Florida woman shares her skepticism that deboarding, cleaning, and safety checks can be done in that timeframe. But as she says, “Maybe we’re living in a fantasy world.” The plane finally arrives, and people depart “thirty minutes past when we were supposed to be onboarding.”
American Airlines eventually announces the delay. The time of departure is now 1:15 pm, but there was a slight issue, she reveals, “They don’t know where the flight crew is.” This pushes the flight back to a departure time of 2 pm. In an ironic twist, the Florida woman shares, “The options that are available now with the second further delay are worse than the original one.” The video concludes with her saying, “This was a free flight. And I’m paying for it. Never again. It’s costing me so much.”
