A woman in Spanish Fork, Utah, noticed that a group of high schoolers was participating in an anti-ICE protest. As a way to counter their protest and potentially trigger some of them, she decided to use a boombox to blast Vanilla Ice’s Ice Ice Baby while driving past them.

Spanish Fork High School did an ICE protest today, had to drive by a few times and support our country and president #fyppp #viral #iceprotests #teammaga #trump @Turning Point USA @The White House @Patriotic Peach

The viral clip was shared on TikTok by Kyrsti Hop, who detailed that students from Spanish Fork High School were taking part in an ICE protest on the streets. As shown in her clip, many of them carried signs, some of them expletive, criticizing the federal law enforcement agency and telling agents to get out of their city and state.

However, Kyrsti, who is definitely not anti-ICE, decided to take matters into her own hands. In a way to counter the students’ protest, she got into her car, armed with a boombox. She took the music player and positioned it outside her front passenger window, and decided to play the 90s hit “Ice Ice Baby,” in an attempt to mock and trigger the protestors.

Apparently, it worked. Some of the people walking down the street started screaming, and the Utah woman laughed at their anger. According to her, she ended up driving past them multiple times while playing Vanilla Ice to “support our country and president.” She also tagged Turning Point USA, The White House, and right-wing influencer Patriotic Peach.

Viral Clip, Reactions

It appears that Kyrsti did go out of her way to make the high school ICE protestors mad. A quick scan of her content shared online shows that she mostly focuses on lifestyle posts, centered around her horse, Rue.

The Utah woman’s clip went viral, garnering more than 3 million views and close to half a million likes. Thousands commented as well, some of them supportive of her “Ice Cold” counter-protest.

“It feels illegal for schools to be organizing these,” one user said. Another one suggested, “Play the Charlie Kirk song,” with Krysti saying that she did. A third one said, “I fully support this bc High school students should not be having an ICE protest!“

Others, however, found her clip inappropriate. One user said, “This is so messed up.” Another one said, “I’m in the wrong part of tiktok i fear.” A third one asked, “Mate, why are we supporting ice now?“

The clip got so many responses that Kyrsti chose to close the comments, probably overwhelmed by the clip’s unexpected virality. Whether she will post ICE-related content in the future is yet to be seen.
