V Rising: Cave Passages Explained and How to Use Them
This article is over 3 years old and may contain outdated information.

The lands of Vardoran in V Rising are vast, as you could expect from any open-world survival game. Although there are various Forms you can transform into, such as the Wolf and Bat Forms, or on horseback to make traveling around faster, it will still take quite a bit of time going from one end of the map to the other. For that reason, V Rising provides two different ways for fast travel in the game: the Vampire Waygates and Cave Passages. Today, let’s learn how to use and where to find these important Cave Passages in V Rising.

Cave Passage Explanation in V Rising

V Rising: Cave Passages Explained and How to Use Them

As mentioned above, Cave Passages are one of the two methods for fast travel in V Rising. Keep in mind though, that while you can fast travel with resources and loot through a Cave Passage, using Vampire Waygates doesn’t allow you to bring stuff in the inventory with you. On the other hand, at some point, you will eventually unlock the blueprint for a Vampire Waygate at your Castle by beating Polora the Feywalker boss. Both fast travel options have their pros and cons.

When wandering around Vardoran, here’s how you can spot a Cave Passage entrance:

  • Look for bright red cracks on the side of rock walls.
  • Get close to the crack until the Hold to Enter text pops up.
  • Simply press and hold the F key to fast travel from one end to the other.

The biggest drawback of Cave Passages is that their exits are located on top of inaccessible cliffs, even when you’re using the Bat Form transformation, basically making it a one-way teleporter. But, as long as you don’t mindlessly jump down, you can still go back and forth between the entrance and exit of a Cave. With that in mind, building a Castle near a Cave exit might be a sound idea. In total, you should be able to find 4 Cave Passages, and you can see all their locations below.
