In the new Vampire survival game V Rising, players can find items that are labeled as “salvageable.” Salvaging an item is when a player reduces an item down to its raw resources. The ability to salvage isn’t one that you get at the start of the game and will require you to get a certain structure that comes from a boss that you can track down. This guide will tell players how to Salvage in V Rising.
How to Salvage In V Rising
In order to Salvage items, you will need to build a structure known as the Devourer. As the name suggests, the Devourer is a teeth-filled chest that you can feed items to so that you can reduce it to raw materials to salvage. This is an item that you unlock the blueprint for by defeating Lidia the Chaos Archer, one of the game’s V Blood Carrier Bosses. Just like every other Blood Boss in the game, you will need to build a Blood Altar, a structure you use to track and find V Blood Carrier bosses, to take her down. The Blood Altar blueprint is rewarded to you upon completing the “Getting Ready For The Hunt” Quest and can be built using 180 Stone and 10 Blood Essence. Interacting with the Altar will allow you to select a V Blood Carrier that you want to pursue. To track Lidia, you will need to get your gear to level 26. You will find Lidia in Farbane Woods, though she does not have a fixed location and will usually be patrolling the woods, so follow the blood tracker that you see when you interact with the Blood Altar to find the boss and unlock the ability to salvage.

With Lidia defeated, you can return to your castle to build the Devourer. The Devourer requires 12 Planks and 6 Copper Ingots to build. In addition to the Devourer, you will also get the Chaos Volley power from Lidia. Once constructed, you can put any item you want to salvage in the Devourer to receive raw materials.
V Rising is now available as Early Access on PC via Steam.
