Poncle has announced that the first public demo for Vampire Crawlers, the anticipated spin-off of Vampire Survivors, will launch on PC during the Steam Next Fest and Xbox Game Pass next month, on February 23.

From the triple-BAFTA‑winning creators of Vampire Survivors, Vampire Crawlers: The Turbo Wildcard from Vampire Survivors transforms the original game into a turbo turn‑based, card-driven BLOBBER with rogue-lite elements. It combines deck-building, dungeon crawling, and fast-paced tactical combat, offering players the choice to either play deliberately or push turns as quickly as possible.

At its core, Vampire Crawlers is about stacking combos and building powerful decks. Cards are played in ascending mana order, with each step multiplying the next card’s effect. Wild cards let players extend their stacks even further, potentially reaching dizzying, infinite combos. Experience points, treasure chests, customization gems, and weapon evolutions all contribute to crafting game-breaking strategies. Players can also summon survivors to trigger cascading effects that turn every dungeon run into a spectacle of destruction.

Exploration is another key element. Dungeons now feature functioning walls, unique treasures, and interactive objects. Finding the shovel lets players dig deeper, often into floating floors that add a new vertical dimension to the classic Vampire Survivors formula.

To give players an early look, Poncle has released a new video series called “Let’s Explore Vampire Crawlers”, detailing the game’s story, mechanics, and features. The first episode is already available, with additional videos coming in the following weeks. You can check it out below.

The team has confirmed that Vampire Crawlers is a spin-off rather than a direct sequel, designed to apply the core principles of accessibility, immediacy, replayability, and visual flair from Vampire Survivors to a deck-building, rogue-lite framework. Post-launch support is planned, with the developers keen to see community feedback before deciding on future updates. The full game is targeted for early to mid-2026 across Steam, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android.

With its mix of chaotic combat, deep deck-building, and inventive dungeon design, Vampire Crawlers looks set to offer both fans of the original and newcomers a fresh spin on a familiar universe.
