Some people are better off removed from society, and for good reason. One 36-year-old man in Virginia was told by his church congregation that he wasn’t allowed to have romantic relationships with women, per FOX 5 DC. As a result, he became mad at God and the men who were stopping him from dating and decided that he was going to enact his revenge with lethal violence. After some leads from concerned individuals, the police found and arrested this middle-aged wannabe killer outside the church with a handgun, knives, and ammunition.
The arrest took place in September 2023 in Fairfax, Virginia, but now the madman has been sentenced to 25 years in federal prison. Some might argue that a quarter of a century isn’t long enough for the crime of potentially taking other people’s lives. Still, at least he’s off the streets for now, and we won’t hear about him for the next two-ish decades. Reddit certainly agrees, and users are grateful he’s been put away. “Good riddance to this moron,” the top comment reads in the post linking the news story. “Wow. This guy sucks, and I hope we never hear anything about him again,” another commenter agrees.
“You know what blocks romantic relationships with women 100% without fail? Prison. Now his chances go from 1 in a million to zero,” sarcastically remarks another Reddit user. It is rather strange that the men of the Virginia church blocked the 36-year-old from having romantic relationships with women, but he did decide to join the church on his own. No one would have stopped him if he chose to leave and join another congregation.
One user agrees with this sentiment: “There are more churches than sandwich shops and 50% of the population is female. Instead of getting team c—kblocked, the guy coulda just taken the act on the road.” Another chimes in, saying, “Dude was mad at other male church members and/or god for c—kblocking him,” quipped a user. Whatever the case, I think we can all agree that we’re “glad that they stopped this guy before he could hurt anyone. Dude is crazy.”
