A Virginia man’s behavior outside of a local school recently sparked the interest of a concerned parent, and she whipped out her phone to record her bizarre and offensive encounter with him. The man, who claimed to be a disabled vet, revealed that he was waving the flag in front of the school because he was proud to be an American. However, that wasn’t all he had to say.
In the TikTok video, the woman approaches the flag-waving man, who is standing near a road where kids cross to enter the school building. She asks him what he’s doing and if he’s protesting. He simply reveals that he’s American, and that is why he’s waving his flag. The mother then tells him that he’s concerned some of the students, who were jaywalking across the road in order to avoid him.
She asks the man if he has kids who attend the school, and he says he does. “Are they proud of you?” she asks. However, instead of answering her, he asks if she’s “for trans kids.” The Virginia woman seems taken aback by his comment. “You like boys in girls’ rooms?” he adds.
Virginia Man Uses Vulgar Language While Waving Flag Outside Local School
When she begins to question him about his concerns over people’s “privates” and bathroom habits, he gets angry. “Get the f— outta here. Why’d you even cross the street?” he asks. When she says she wanted to know what he was doing, he replies, “I’m standing here. I’m American.”
From there, things escalate. Although the woman keeps her voice and tone in check, the man gets agitated. After explaining that it’s his right as an American to stand on the sidewalk and wave the flag for as long as he wants, he loses his temper further, hurling disrespectful and degrading insults at the woman. During the encounter, he used words such as “c–t,” “wh–e,” and stupid b–ch.”
In the caption of the video, the woman explains why she approached the man. “This is the only path for students to cross into the high school and middle school. He did this during drop offs – kids were crossing the street jaywalking this busy road to avoid him. The school didn’t care which is why I wanted to know why he was there,” she wrote.
In a follow-up TikTok, the woman says the police were called and they told her that both the police and school said he was fine, claiming that she “antagonized” him.
“He’s got a lot of big feelings,” one person commented. “All with a cross on his shirt,” another stated. “Being outside a school using that language is wild,” a third person shared. “Why is it always the bro’s with the cross on their shirt that speak this way?” a fourth social media user wrote.
Tensions are high around the country, and displays like this one and protests are seen quite often. However, this Virginia man chose a school as the setting to share his American pride, as well as his colorful vocabulary, which is something that many parents may have had strong opinions about.
