Many Proxies weren’t sold on the furry concept, but all it took to change their mind was a quick glimpse at Von Lycaon from Zenless Zone Zero. Not only is he a loyal companion, but he is also a butler and guide to his fellow Victoria Housekeeping Co. members. Lycaon has an excellent nose for invaluable items for his build and is an expert at tracking down the best teams, which makes him the best of the ZZZ good guys. Furthermore, he’s one of the best F2P Agents in the game, so if you are lucky enough to have him, don’t hesitate to get him up to speed.
Best W-Engines for Lycaon Build in Zenless Zone Zero
This canid’s hind legs are powerful, and you need to train him to improve his kicks, so his best W-Engine options are:
The Restrained (S-Rank) | When an attack hits an enemy, DMG and Daze from Basic Attacks increase by 6/7.5/9/10.5/12% for 8s, stacking up to 5 times. This effect can trigger at most once during each skill. The duration of each stack is calculated separately. |
Hellfire Gears (S-Rank) | When off-field, the equipper’s Energy Regen increases by 0.6/0.75/0.9/1.5/1.2 per second. When using an EX Special Attack, the equipper’s Impact is increased by 10/12.5/15/17.5/20% for 10s, stacking up to 2 times. The duration of each stack is calculated separately. |
Steam Oven (A-Rank) | For every 10 Energy accumulated, the equipper’s Impact is increased by 2/2.3/2.6/2.9/3.2%, stacking up to 8 times. After Energy is consumed, this bonus remains for 8 more seconds. The duration of each stack is calculated separately. |
As one of the Stun-focused characters in ZZZ, Lycaon takes advantage of The Restrained’s increased Impact to enhance his Daze stat for this build. Hellfire Gears stands out because of the improvement in Energy Regen, and consequently, this can do more Ice DMG. In contrast, Steam Oven is the best option for F2P players.
Best Discs
Canines are very sensitive to different frequencies, but that doesn’t mean Lycaon isn’t into some tunes, especially those in these discs:
Shockstar Disco | Best option for all Stun-focused characters granting 6% permanent Impact% from the 2-PPC and 20% increased Daze for Basic Attacks, Dash Attacks and Dodge Counters. As Stun characters top priority is dealing as much Daze as possible as fast as possible, no other set comes close to this one and the 4-PC should be pursued even at the cost of good sub-stats. |
Polar Metal | Basic Attack and Dash Attack DMG Increases by 28%. Whenever a squad member Freezes or Shatters an enemy, the buff further increases by 28% for 12s. |
Woodpecker Electro | Triggering a crtitical hit with a Basic Attack, Dodge Counter, or EX Special Attack increases the equipper’s ATK by 9% for 6s. The buff duration for different skills are calculated separately. |
Best Stats: CRIT Rate, CRIT DMG, Anomaly Proficiency, Ice DMG and Impact.
Shockstar Disco is the best choice of these sets, as it improves the overall Impact of all attacks. However, if you want to focus on the Ice DMG of this puppy, Polar Bear is what the vet recommended. You also have to recognize the strength in Lycaon’s backstays, so you can take advantage of that adding Woodpecker Electro to his ZZZ build.
Best Team Comps and Rotation
This service dog is an excellent companion, and his teamwork skills deserve a treat. For that reason, these are his best teammates:
Mono-Ice | F2P |
---|---|
Ellen Joe – DPS Von Lycaon – Stun Soukaku – Support | Corin – DPS Von Lycaon – Stun Soukaku / Lucy – Support |
The main thing for Lycaon’s rotation is to paralyze as many enemies as possible, setting the stage to pass the baton to your DPS. If you are with Ellen Joe, it will be easier to navigate from enemy to enemy with her Double Dash to stack her Flash Freeze until you get six charges and then release all her power. If you have Corin, you need to get buffs from your Support and then use her EX Special.
Mono-Ice | F2P |
---|---|
Sharkboo (S-Rank) Plants a trap underfoot which bites, tears, and summons torpedos at triggering enemies, dealing Ice DMG and inflicting massive Ice Anomaly Buildup. | Butler (S-Rank) Creates a heartfelt afternoon snack. The snack will generate Energy for the receiving Agent. |
Penguinboo (A-Rank) Executes a series of graceful slashes with an ice blade, dealing Ice DMG. | Sumoboo (A-Rank) Jumps towards the target and executes a downward strike, dealing Physical DMG in an area. This skill is good at interrupting. |
Sharkboo is the best choice for a team with Ellen, as it considerably focuses on increasing the Ice DMG, from which Lycaon also benefits. Butler or Sumoboo are ideal for a build where you can take more advantage of Basic Attack or Charged. Whatever your choice, Lycaon can adapt to any job, proving to be one of the best partners and agents in Zenless Zone Zero.
