Last year, Blizzard announced that Warcraft 3: Reforged was in development at Blizzcon. Fans of both World of Warcraft and the original Warcraft games were ecstatic, to say the least, but haven’t received a lot of information since then. Today, I’m happy to say that’s changed. Through a news post made on Blizzard’s official blog, Warcraft 3: Reforged will release on January 28th, 2020. This is bound to get many fans excited, especially with such a short wait from now until release (just over a month, in fact). The original goal was to have the game out by the end of the year, but unfortunately, development didn’t allow for that. At least now, though, there’s a set date for release.
The price of Warcraft 3: Reforged will be $29.99, but there will be a special edition for $39.99. This edition offers several bonuses for existing Blizzard games, which is excellent for those who play their other titles. For starters, four skins will be awarded in Warcraft 3: Reforged to special edition owners. You’ll also get a Meat Wagon Mount in WoW, player icons and sprays in Overwatch, a Mal’Ganis pet in Diablo III, a Hearthstone card back, Heroes of the Storm characters, and Starcraft: Remastered (and Starcraft II) console skins. Needless to say, a lot of cosmetics for fans of all Blizzard games.
If you don’t already know what Warcraft 3: Reforged is, it’s a fantasy RTS developed by Blizzard Entertainment. It’s a remake of Warcraft 3: Reign of Chaos and Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne in the modern-day era. It will offer the classic single-player campaign, updated visuals, improved online functionality, matchmaking, social features, and more! This will be the premier way to play Warcraft 3, and it’ll be yours for $29.99 on PC.
