True to its name, The Old Peace update in Warframe also revisits some older content in the game that has accumulated figurative dust over the years. The Focus School system is one such content, and now Warframe has expanded it beyond mostly passive effects that some players usually gloss over. Thus, the Focus School is cooler than ever as each one comes with a special and stylish attack. Here’s our guide to unlocking them.

For returning players, the Focus Schools, namely Madurai, Naramon, Unairu, Vazarin, and Zenurik, remain intact, along with their respective skill trees. There’s no major overhaul done to them, so you don’t need to worry about rebuilding your setup.

Each of these Focus Schools simply got an added “ultimate attack” called Tauron Strikes thanks to the newly introduced Tektolyst Artifacts. Once you’ve unlocked these artifacts, you’ll not only get access to the special attack (activated through the Operator/Drifter), but you’ll also get access to a new modding and Arcane system dedicated to them. Each Tektolyst Artifact is different and is based on its Focus School:

ZenurikLorak (Grimoire)
UnairuCogron (Hammer)
MaduraiThara (Bow)
VazarinNidri (Staff)
NaramonVexoric (Sword)

It’s also worth noting that obtaining a Tektolyst Artifact for a specific Focus School also unlocks new nodes in that Focus School‘s skill tree, which is a great way to spend those excess Focus points you’ve accumulated over the years.

You can actually test out each of the five Tauron Strikes regardless of whether you’ve unlocked the Tektolyst Artifacts or not. You can do this trial in the new game mode, Perita Rebellion, via the Navigation panel (Dark Refractory segment). Warframe‘s new preview mechanic allows you to set aside The Old Peace quest to try out the Perita Rebellion missions available in the Navigation panel (Dark Refractory).

However, you will need to finish The Old Peace quest if you want to use the Tauron Strikes and permanent Tektolyst Artifacts outside of the Perita Rebellion missions. Here’s a step-by-step process:

  1. Play and finish The Old Peace quest, available in the quest menu.
    • Note: The Old Peace requires the Lotus Eaters quest
  2. Once you’ve finished The Old Peace, go to Sanctum Anatomica in Deimos.
  3. On the northern side of the 1st floor, look for the portal named “XX99” and enter it.
  4. Go to Marie and purchase the Tektolyst Artifacts.
    • Alternatively, you can also just open the menu once you’re in Sanctum Anatomica and Fast Travel to Marie.
  5. If you lack the currency needed for the Tektolyst Artifacts, you will need to replay the Perita Rebellion missions.

Each Tektolyst Artifact requires you to unlock its corresponding Focus School, along with the following currencies:

CurrencyWhere to Obtain (Perita Rebellion)
Lyroic Bridge (150 per artifact)Recall: Hunhullus
Ren Hypercore (150 per artifact)Recall: Dactolyst
Ascaris Prime (150 per artifact)Recall: Vanguard

All in all, you’ll need 750 of each currency to unlock all artifacts, along with a ton of Focus points if you haven’t unlocked all Focus Schools. Of course, you don’t have to get them all; just focus on the one you want the most. No pun intended.
