This Summer just got better with Digital Extremes announcing the release date for Warframe‘s next cinematic quest update, Jade Shadows. In it, players will uncover the mysteries behind one of the game’s most cryptic characters. Furthermore, we’re getting the 57th Warframe and a new type of mission called Ascension. For those looking for some co-op action, the Clan Operation: Belly of the Beast is also coming. And if you want something a bit more fantasy-like, Soulframe will be getting its first dedicated devstream this season.
June 18 is the official release date of Warframe‘s Jade Shadows. As previously announced, players will delve deeper into the mysteries of the Stalker, a fan-favorite character. With what promises to be one of the most intriguing single-player-focused quests, Tenno worldwide will experience thrilling missions leading to the unlock of a new Warframe. Speaking of which, Jade is the 57th Warframe to join the fray and brings her bardic skills to the fight. She’ll perform more of a supporting role, buffing other party members or even healing.
For those looking for new content, a new mission type called Ascension will arrive as well. In this vertically-designed content, while have to escape an enemy base by starting at the bottom and hijacking an elevator as they fight hordes of enemies, making it the fast-paced instances I can get behind. And for those looking to bring friends, the Clan Operation: Belly of the Beast will pit you against Corpus’ latest experiments.
Since TennoCon 2024 is on the horizon, Digital Extremes teased the third entry in the Heirloom line for Ember which launches on July 20. The fourth one will be revealed at the show. Also, the marketplace is getting a few pricing changes. And for those eager to get new cosmetics, Yareli is getting many adjustments accompanied by a new deluxe skin. And if that wasn’t enough, Soulframe is getting its own devstream during the event, so stay tuned.
Honestly, I’m glad to see Digital Extremes pulling out the big guns. Warframe‘s Jade Shadows promises to be an epic update from start to finish. While I’m excited for the story, the new Ascension missions sound promising. And, since I’m a big fan of fantasy games, seeing news of Soulframe intrigues me. Hopefully, the latter will get even more details because I can’t wait to see what the developers are cooking with it.
