From August 2, 2023, players can access the Call of Duty: Warzone 2 and MW2 Season 5 Battle Pass. The developers have released some new info on the new operators, skins, weapon blueprints, and the brand-new Battle Buddy system! Battle Buddy is a new feature in Warzone 2 and MW2, but that’s not all. There’s a new companion available in the new Season; the man’s best friend, the K9 unit. Warzone 2 and MW2 Battle Pass Presents: Battle Buddy!
You’re playing a Battle Royal match and grinding to get that sweet victory. The match gets intense, but at the same time, you need to maintain the rotation and sometimes stop the rush. This is something that might be boring in the game. But no worries now! The Battle Buddy is there to talk and compliment you about your actions.
This is a new feature coming with Warzone 2 and MW2 Season 5 Battle Pass. It is a talking gun screen that you can attach to your weapons. However, the first of its kind comes with the Black Cell Battle Pass. Her name is Gwen, and she would praise you when you get kills, pick certain weapons, call in Killstreaks, and more.
The Man’s Best Friend By Your Side
Activision has decided to bring the dog’s finishers back in Warzone 2! It was a very charming and brutal finisher move back in the Warzone 1 era. In fact, you could kill the opponents with a crow by the final Seasons of that game. But well, if you can kill the enemies using Homelander’s laser visions in Warzone 2 and MW2 as a finishing move, why not let a doggy do the job?
Call of Duty: Warzone 2 and MW2 Battle Pass have introduced only one K9 finishing move so far. And you can only access it with the Black Cell Premium Battle Pass. His name is Merlin, and you can order him to rip the enemy opponents apart in a stylish finishing move. The pets in Warzone 2 and MW2 will not affect the overall gameplay.
Other New Content Coming With Warzone 2 and MW2 Season 5 Battle Pass
Along with the addition of newly mentioned features, new weapons and operators are also coming to Warzone 2 and MW2 Season 5 Battle Pass. As it turns out, Philip Graves, the Shadow himself, is still alive. There are two other Shadow Company soldiers joining him in the new Season; OZ and Mila. This is while a new Black Cell operator named Arthur is also making a debut.
The new weapons coming to the Season 5 Battle Pass are the FR Avancer Assault Rifle and Carrack .300 Sniper Rifle. They both come in with different skins and variable blueprints. But you should note that there’ll be 3 more weapons coming to the game in Warzone 2 and MW2 Season 5. One of them is a new variation of M13 called the M13C. And the other two are not announced yet.

Now besides the new operators and weapon blueprints in the Season 5 Battle Pass, there’s a mention of fresh bundles in the CoD Blog as well. We’ve got the Gunslinger Ghost bundle for the new Season as an example here. This is a Western-style skin for Ghost while giving players a total of 2400 CP with the bundle. There’s also a scary-looking skin for Valeria called the Iceflow as well. But the highlight of this part is the return of Snoop Dogg on Call of Duty‘s battlefield.
To celebrate 50 years of Hip Hop music, D-O-Double G is returning with a new bundle. But that’s not all, as we also have the addition of Nicki Minaj in Warzone 2 and MW2. The bundle name and details for the Nicki Minaj operator are not announced yet by the developers. But it is assumed that we’ll receive it in the game’s shop after the start of Season 5.
