Call of Duty: Warzone 2 Vondel map is here in Season 4, and many players enjoy its similarity to the old Verdansk. This map has become a fan-favorite since the beginning of the Season. However, it might be challenging to adapt for some players. Vondel’s structure is completely different from Ashika Island and Al Mazrah; hence, the winning strategies are different. However, with our top-seven best tips and tricks, you’ll become a pro on this Netherlands-based map!
Warzone 2 Vondel Map Tips and Tricks
The following tips will help you increase your winning chance in the Warzone 2 Vondel map. These are the methods and tricks that you can use in both the Resurgence mode and the Battle Royal. Ready for battle, soldier? Let’s begin!
1. Get to Know The Warzone 2 Vondel Map
Learning and memorizing the layouts of the smaller maps of Modern Warfare 2 in the Multiplayer mode is relatively easy. However, Warzone maps are bigger and more detailed, making it vital to know if you want to play them. After all, basic map knowledge is the key to success for PvP and PvE in DMZ.
Recognizing where certain things are on Warzone 2 Vondel map is ideal, but that’s not enough. In Warzone, the circle rotates in both Resurgence and Battle Royal modes. As a result, you might have to leave your comfort zone sooner or later. For instance, what if you get to rotate to a location like Castle or City Hall that you may not know about?
We strongly recommend dropping in every POI of the Vondel during your runs. Even if you’re killed, learning the layout of the landmarks is invaluable knowledge. After that, you can fight back your enemies in any circle at any location.
2. Never Rush For Your Loadout
Suppose you’re roaming about in search of loot and solid weapons. The money for a loadout drop is not enough, but suddenly, the game drops your loadout for you! The “loadout drop heading your way” message is always as sweet as it sounds. However, there’s a catch. Your loadout is probably beside other enemy players’ drops, which only means conflict.
The battle for getting your loadout is always a thing that many players take advantage of it. Some people only camp and wait for you to reach the loadout. Then they’ll open fire to wipe you out of the lobby. This is where you can choose to stop rushing toward the dead zone. You can comb the map more and gather the money to buy the loadout yourself.
Alternatively, consider landing near the game’s loadout, waiting until the players spread out, and ending the conflict. Then take your loadout and continue your adventure in Warzone 2 Vondel map.
3. Landing Near One of The Warzone 2 Vondel Blueprint Locations Will Give You an Edge
Speaking of the loadouts and better weapons, you should know that there are locations in the Vondel map that not every player still know about. You’ll find blueprints with four or five attachments in these particular spots. These blueprints are much stronger than ordinary ground loot guns.

If you learn where these blueprints are and land near them at the beginning of the match, you’ll have a huge advantage. You can see the location of all these blueprints in the “Related Link” above.
4. Camping Is Not A Great Option in Vondel
One of the unique qualities of Vondel is how it changes the playstyle in comparison to Ashika Island and Al Mazrah. On Ashika Island, there are fewer buildings and covers. On the Al Mazrah map, you can spot many open areas, which give the advantage to slow-paced plays and camping strategies.
In Warzone 2 Vondel map, however, there are too many buildings, stairs, rooms, and alleyways, limiting the opportunities to camp. Players with headsets and good audio settings can quickly detect you camping inside a room. The game is also a lot more fast-paced than Ashika Island and Al Mazrah, so you’ll definitely get rushed and smoked out if you camp for a long time.
If you play in a base operative style, you might get the upper hand in most of the game. This means that if you’ve found a location in the safe zone that is good for hitting ranged targets and keeping the conflict in close ranges, stay there. Hold your position but also make sure to be aware of what’s going on around your location. The High Alert perk might be a great choice for this playstyle.
5. Shotguns… Always Shotguns…
Warzone 2 Vondel map is filled with buildings, structures, and small rooms. With the recent buff of shotguns in Season 4 and Season 4 Reloaded, it is ideal if you use these weapons in close combat. You’ll take down a target with only two shots of a KV Broadside, killing your opponent in a flash. Not to mention that the KV has a 25-drum magazine, amazing for taking down a whole squad of SMG users.
6. Hold The Roof
With so many apartments and buildings, Warzone 2 Vondel map has plenty of rooftops you can access. The important part about this, however, is that you can reach the other building’s rooftops by just jumping. If you secure a rooftop for yourself, you’ll get the upper hand during combat. But remember not to stay on the ground for too long. You’ll become an easy target for someone using a Lachmann-556 or SP-X incendiary rounds.
7. Rotate With The Zone
As much as it’s important to maintain the high ground just like you should do in Fortnite, the gas rotation is also a very vital thing to note. In fact, it is even more important when playing the Warzone 2 Vondel. In this map, those who secure a rooftop in the next safe zone typically come out of PvP fights as the victors.
In Al Mazrah and Ashika Island, you could navigate a zone while staying near its borders. In Vondel, you need to rush towards the next zone to clear yourself a position. However, you should always have an eye on the map and the final circles. Note that in the last rounds of the match, these strategies may not work. You don’t want to be shot in the air while trying to escape the zone by jumping from a rooftop.
