This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information.

After a surprise update, Call of Duty: Warzone Urzikestan map has undergone a mysterious change. The update has fixed some of the issues with the UI, including the one with showing the rewards of the Horde Hunt event. However, if you jump into the Warzone Urzikestan right now, you’ll find a secret bunker deep beneath the Old Town, seemingly teasing Black Ops Gulf War.

The Warzone Urzikestan secret bunker is located on the riverside of Old Town to the south. If you visit the location marked above, you’ll find a large entrance to a new area with a lot of zombie test subjects kept in big capsules. This is something that might be relevant to the new zombie event going on in Warzone Season 2. But as you can not interact or do anything with the zombies inside, some may argue that this is a teaser for the next Black Ops game.

Fans of Call of Duty: Warzone aren’t unfamiliar with the secret bunkers that appear around the maps. Hidden bunkers are usually for revealing story connections or teasing an upcoming Call of Duty game. Maybe the best example of these map changes and Warzone secret bunkers was in Verdansk before its destruction in 2021.

Black Ops Gulf War Tease?!

In 2021, there were bunkers on the map, with items and notes inside them referring to the Cold War. This is how Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War was advertised by a mysterious approach in the Warzone. However, the current Warzone Urzikestan’s secret bunker doesn’t have that much info to discuss, other than the assets of Treyarch zombie models kept in capsules.

If there’s any connection to the MW3 Zombies in this part, it’s worth noting that the MWZ storyline takes place before the events of MW3 itself. And Warzone is on the same line as MW3‘s story, which is after the events of MWZ. So to be clear, Warzone‘s timeline is currently the same as MW3 Campaign, and these zombies are the new experiments that Konni Group is testing, maybe?!

Only time can tell what this Warzone Urzikestan secret bunker is about and what riddles it holds. There are doors and areas we can’t access in this bunker, meaning there’ll be some future changes and updates to this place, revealing more as we get closer and closer to the next Call of Duty game.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available to play on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
