The Epstein files have been a constant thorn in the side of Republicans and, most importantly, President Trump. No matter how much he says they’re a “hoax,” it just won’t go away. And I’m glad it isn’t. To no one’s surprise, the Republicans in Washington, DC want to play dirty. After being caught on camera, a chief deputy of the Department of Justice alleges the Epstein files, when they’re released, will have every Republican name redacted, but any liberal or democratic people involved will be out in the open. How this chief deputy got caught is the funny part!
You’ve probably had your fair share of online dating, right? Well, apparently even chief deputies of the DOJ use it, too. In fact, a reporter working for Project Veritas — which is a far-right activist group (I was surprised, too) — managed to snag a date with Deputy Chief Joseph Schnitt on Hinge. Unbeknownst to him, Deputy Chief Shnitt was being recorded, where he claims the Epstein files are real and Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s co-conspirator and ex-girlfriend, was transferred to a minimum security prison.
“They’ll redact every Republican or conservative person in those files, leave all the liberal, Democratic people in those files,” Chief Deputy Schnitt says in the video. Apparently not, but it gets worse. He also admits moving Maxwell was “against BOP policy” due to her status as a convicted sex offender. “They’re offering her something to keep her mouth shut,” he says.
The goal? According to Chief Deputy Schnitt, it’s a calculated attack by the Trump administration against Democratic officials. The public would get a “very slanted version of it come out, where it’s “Look at what’s going on,” says Schnitt. But since every conservative has their name redacted, you’d only see the “bad behavior” by Democrats.
Honestly, this tactic is downright disgusting. If you’re going to reveal the names of possible predators, shouldn’t they be revealing everyone’s name? Not if it’s a deliberate attack. There is a silver lining here: regardless of how the Epstein files are released, the victims are making their own list.
It’s also possible this is but a bluff. The American people, especially left-leaning people, haven’t been quiet about the Epstein files. Considering Project Veritas’s far-right views, there’s a small chance this ‘leak’ was meant as a warning. Should Democrats keep pushing, then the redacted files are released. Either way, the American people deserve to know the truth — the whole truth.
