The current state of the United States of America has been divided for quite some time on various subjects that quite literally threaten the lives of everyday people. It appears that no matter where you are or what you’re doing, you are in danger of being targeted by groups such as Nazis. One Washington DC army veteran on TikTok released a video detailing the best and safest way to ensure everyone’s safety over Independence Day weekend, where the probability of Nazis being protected by police officers is expected to be at an all-time high.

The viral video stars Kris Goldsmith, an incredibly vocal army veteran as well as the cohost of The Find Out podcast, which serves as a platform to discuss Donald Trump’s second term as president. In the video, he discusses a simple trick that can be used to ensure that civilians remain safe in spaces where Nazis will likely be allowed to roam freely, without interruptions from police force. Interestingly enough, his advice was to call 911 and report a crime in progress, being sure to detail exactly what is illegal about the situation you are witnessing, circumventing the officers currently at the scene.

Goldsmith makes an example that involves various armed, masked men getting into the back of a van that lacks seatbelts. Although the real issue is the masked men entering the van have weapons, the 911 responders will dispatch local authorities due to an ongoing crime involving the missing seatbelts. Since this dispatch involves an active crime, the officers are required to investigate the situation and ensure it is resolved before they can return to their duties.

Commenters were quick to agree with Goldsmith, with one person saying, “Every action you spoke on taking is 100% legal. Can you also speak on more people knowing and understanding their state’s self-defense laws? If no legal authority is presented, the public has a right to defend itself.” Goldsmith acknowledges that this tactic won’t entirely stop Nazis, but he admits it is intended to slow their progress.

It is hoped that everyone will remain safe over Independence Day weekend. However, in light of the unstable political environment, the various methods citizens must use to evade authoritative figures in order to stay out of danger have been staggering.
