The video shows Vivek Ramaswamy speaking at a podium during a campaign event, with supporters in hard hats holding signs behind him. In the clip, he states that “we can only successfully fix what needs to be fixed if we’re first grateful for what we’re actually getting right,” and adds that “as a father of three young kids… there is no other country in the world, there is no other state in the world where I would rather be raising those kids than here in the United States of America, right here in our state of Ohio.”

He continues, “The reason I am running for governor is that I’m on a moral mission to turn that American dream into a reality once again here in our home state of Ohio.”

The accompanying post text reads, “The reason I’m in this is simple: gratitude.” The footage is from an event in Middletown, Ohio, and does not show what occurred before or after the speech segment.

Responses Rolling In After the Rally Speech

A small number of users expressed support, with one writing “BRILLIANT, Vivek and SO sincere.”

Many others were critical. Commenters called him a “Grifter and a scammer,” asked, “Is this winning for you? Defending a fraud,” and stated, “*expletive* off!! You will screw Ohioans bad!!”

Additional replies questioned his record, with one saying, “But you’re not about to return the money to investors that you scammed with your fake Alzheimer’s drug rug pull, are you?” and another claiming the effort was “To further enrich himself and those who helped him.”
