A Weird Al movie with Daniel Radcliffe has been in the works, and now we have a trailer for the upcoming film. Fans of the parody artist will not have long to wait for the biopic as it will release on Roku’s free channel on November 4. Its first screening will happen on September 8 as the opener for the Toronto International Film Festival’s Midnight Madness.
Labeled as the “untold true story,” the Weird Al movie will go through the personal and professional life of Yankovic. Like any of his work, the film will be a parody as it pokes fun at biopics, as the film will exaggerate the success of his career. It will feature plenty of his hits that fans will recognize.
Weird Al will be played by Daniel Radcliffe. The Harry Potter alum will be joined by Evan Rachel Wood (Westworld) as Madonna, Quinta Brunson (Abbott Elementary) as Oprah Winfrey, and Rainn Wilson (The Office) as broadcaster Dr. Demento. Playing as the artist’s parents, Mary and Nick, will be Julianne Nicholson (Mare of Easttown) and Toby Huss (King of the Hill).
