After postponing payments multiple times, a weird Utah woman offered a nail technician to pay for her appointment with food. The nonsensical offer was then followed by more inappropriate behavior, and all boundaries were pushed.
The nail technician, Shel Cole, shared the story on TikTok, calling it the “weirdest nail client experience.” First, she shared how the client, who was her “sweetest client” initially, started to request very inappropriate things. These include asking for an ingrown toenail removal, something Shel couldn’t do, and even postponing paying for her appointments.
Following very instances of nail-adjacent drama, the Utah woman scheduled an appointment with Shel. The whole service, which was not that easy to perform, was going to cost her $50. However, after being told to pay on the day of service, the client sent over $40 the day before, saying that she would pay more if needed, Shel said in a follow-up video.
After confronting her about the missing $10, the client told Shel she was going to pay the rest on the day of service. Saturday comes, Shel does her nails, and the client, still refusing to pay the owed money, made a very weird request.
“Are you sure that I can’t just buy you food instead?” the Utah client told Shel.
The nail technician, of course, wasn’t having any of it. Fortunately for her, the client’s husband ended up paying her the $10 with an extra $5 as a tip.
Inappropriate Behavior, Blocked, Reactions
The drama didn’t stop there, as the client booked yet another appointment. She arrived late, blaming a family emergency, and even got the nerve to stop for drinks, and even offered Shel to buy her one. The appointment ended up happening after all, but Shel knew that, for her own mental health, that was going to be her last appointment with that client.
The client, however, revealed she had been fired from her job due to inappropriate behavior. That same behavior was experienced by Shel after the woman offered to gift her an item of clothing after she complimented it. According to her, that item of clothing was “something you can’t leave the house without.”
Days later, the Utah client messaged Shel about a spot she had on her body. She asked the nail tech if she should visit a dermatologist. Shel told her she can’t diagnose anything and asked her to see a provider instead. Unsolicited, the woman then shared a video of her in the bathtub, “not really doing a good job at covering herself.”
Shel blocked her client, marking the end of the weirdest nail client experience.
Users were left aghast by the client’s weirdness. One user said, “I got exhausted just by listening.” Another one wrote, “Why can’t she just pay if she’s trying to buy you food? I’m so confused.” A third one commented, “Damn, she fumbled you hard, $50 is a steal.”
Shel can rest assured that the uncomfortable interactions will definitely decrease now that the client is no more.
