Wendy Williams is reportedly living in isolation from her loved ones. The renowned television personality disappeared from the spotlight due to her battle with several health issues. As a result, Williams lost her famous talk show. Her access to her financial accounts was revoked, and she was placed under financial guardianship. Amid these unfortunate life circumstances, the former host recently turned 60 years old, and it wasn’t a pleasant celebration.
A source revealed that Williams’ big day was lonely because her family and friends still haven’t spoken to her since her guardianship began. “Wendy Williams’s family is unable to speak on her current condition and location due to ongoing litigation and the fact that they have largely been denied contact,” the insider told People Magazine. A second source confirmed the dire situation surrounding her birthday, telling The Sun:
“Wendy’s birthdays have always been a big deal, and it’s really sad that her nearest and dearest can’t see her or even speak to her for her milestone 60th.”
The informant noted that Williams’ sister, father, and her son, Kevin Hunter Jr, are sometimes able to talk to her. However, they have to wait for her to call them. Nevertheless, her family is “rooting” for her, says the source.
Wendy Williams’ Sister Baffled By FTD Diagnosis
Wendy Williams’ 60th birthday comes five months after she was officially diagnosed with primary progressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia. She confirmed the health update with an appreciation message for fans. “I want to say I have immense gratitude for the love and kind words I have received after sharing my diagnosis of Aphasia and Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD).”
However, despite Williams’ confirmation of her diagnosis, her sister Wanda Finnie said that the family wasn’t aware of her condition. The concerned sibling claimed her TV host sister was getting healthier while in Florida with her loved ones before the guardianship was put in place. “I don’t know, honestly. I don’t know,” Finnie lamented.
