In Fortnite, there are different items in the loot pool depending on the current season. These items depend on the season’s theme and collaboration events. There is currently only one Melee weapon in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2. For instance, you could do this quest with Chains of Hades if the Olympian Powers were not being vaulted right now. That said, we’ll cover how to complete the “Hit opponents with a melee weapon” quest in Fortnite in the easiest way possible.

How To Easily Complete Hit Opponents with a Melee Weapon in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2

As we mentioned in the introduction, the items in the game change according to the season of the game and the collaborations at the time. Examples of melee weapons in Fortnite include the Grapple Blade, ODM Gear, Kingsman, Infinity Blade, Lightsabers, or Thor’s Stormbreaker. However, your Pickaxe is the only melee weapon to complete this quest in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2.

You will need to pick up your Pickaxe (Harvester) and hit your enemy four times. If it wasn’t vaulted, it could probably be done with Chains of Hades. But of course, it won’t be easy to hit other players with the Pickaxe because there’s a good chance they’ll kill you before you can get close enough to hit them.

That’s why we have another method for you to easily complete the “Hit opponents with a melee weapon” quest, one of the Light Chakra challenges. You can choose from Coastal Comms, Mount Olympus, Brawler’s Battleground, or The Underworld to complete this quest.

Coastal Comms is the landmark located in the northeast of the map, where you can find enemy NPCs who will help you complete the quest easily. Or, as mentioned, you can challenge Hades, Zeus, or Ares and kill their minions with Pickaxe.
