What if You Die in Stranded Deep?
When you die in Stranded Deep, there is a possibility that you lose your entire save game and start the game from the very beginning. There is an option in the game called ‘permadeath’, which will instantly delete your save game file once you die.
However, this only happens in a certain scenario, and we will cover everything you need to know.
- Scenario 1. – if you are playing a single-player mode with the permadeath (permanent), and when you die, you will lose your save game. This will force you to start the Stranded Deep campaign from the beginning.
- Scenario 2. – if you are playing Stranded Deep in single-player mode with the permadeath off, and when you die, then you got nothing to worry about. You will return to load the screen. You will be able to continue the game when you saved it the last time.
- Scenario 3. – When you are in the multiplayer mode, and when you die with permadeath on in Stranded Deep, your teammate can bring you back to life. Unfortunately, if you both die, the save file is lost forever.
- Scenario 4 – if you opt for the permadeath off option in multiplayer and you and your teammate die, then you will return to the load screen. However, you will be able to continue from the last save point. So, our only advice is to save often, especially when you are running low on supplies or planning an exploration of other islands.
