Completing your missions in Fortnite is extremely important because it allows you to easily level up your Battle Pass and get your rewards quickly. However, while completing your missions in Fortnite, you may encounter a quest such as “Deal damage to opponents while hip-firing assault rifles or SMGs”. If you don’t know what hip firing means in Fortnite, you may have difficulty completing the mission. So with this article, you will learn both how to complete your quest and what hip firing means.

How To Complete Deal Damage to Opponents While Hip-Firing Assault Rifles or SMGs in Fortnite

Almost all FPS games have two types of aiming. The first one, and the one used for accurate shooting, is Aim Down Sight, aka ADS. In this aiming, you can bring the gun’s crosshair closer to your eye to make sharper hits and shoot the bullets wherever you want.

The second type is hip firing. In Fortnite, as in many other FPS games, hip firing means firing without aiming. When hip firing, you shoot faster, but your bullets don’t land as accurately.

To complete this mission you must deal 500 damage while hip-firing with rifles or SMGs in Fortnite. This will be extremely difficult to do against real players, as they will most likely kill you before you can get close to them. Therefore, the safest way to complete this mission is through NPCs.

If you go to locations with Vault such as Eclipse Estate, Slappy Shores, Relentless Retreat, or Sanguine Suites, you will find plenty of NPCs. Since these NPCs are less dangerous than the players, you can kill them by hip firing and complete your quest easily in Fortnite.

In short:

  • Land at Eclipse Estate, Slappy Shores, Relentless Retreat, or Sanguine Suites. There will be many NPCs in these locations, so you can easily complete your mission.
  • Find an Assault Rifle or SMG.
  • Then kill the NPCs by hip-firing in Fortnite.

If you need some visual guide about the “Deal Damage to Opponents While Hip-Firing Assault Rifles or SMGs” quest Fortnite Events has a great YouTube video on this quest. You can learn more about hip firing in Fortnite by watching his video.
