What Is the Fastest Car in GTA Online in 2024? Answered

As fast as The Flash

If one game can unite worldwide players for years, it’s GTA Online. From roleplaying to going on heists with your friends, boredom is almost nonexistent. One of the exciting things to do is purchase (excuse me, hoard) expensive cars. But they’re not just for show. They’re great for racing or making a speedy getaway after participating in some illicit activities. If you want to hit that top speed before mods, you’ll need the fastest car in GTA Online. Besides, it can help you make a clean escape or destroy any who dare challenge you in a race.

Fastest Car in GTA Online

[Updated August 9, 2024 – added info about the exclusive car upgrades and new fastest car available to next-gen players]

The most recent update for next-gen consoles makes ranking the fastest GTA Online car tough. Now, there’s a PS5 and Xbox Series X/S exclusive auto shop: Hao’s Special Works. Found inside the LS Car Meet, it has conversions that will see you zooming through the streets of San Andreas.

So, different players will have a different car with the highest top speed. For next-gen players, the car that naturally hits the best top speed is the HSW Itali GTO Stinger TT. Meanwhile, for players who cannot access Hao’s Special Works, the fastest car in GTA Online is the BF Weevil Custom.

HSW Itali GTO Stinger TT – Fastest Next-Gen Car

  • Type: Sports
  • Top Speed: 168.5mph (271.2km/h)
  • Costs: $2,380,000 (Legendary Motorsport)
    • Conversion Cost: $1,418,000 (Hao’s Special Works)
    • Total Needed: $3,798,000

Released June 13, 2023, this expensive sports car didn’t hit the top three in the fastest category. Now, next-gen players can bask in the ridiculously delightful top speed of 168.5mph (271.2km/h). It easily sails past the fastest car in GTA Online for PC and previous-gen users.

If you can afford it, find an open road and let loose. Or stick to traffic. Personally, I don’t think the control of the Itali GTO Stinger TT is the best if you punch it full-throttle right away. Build it up and time it right, and it’s beautiful in a drag race. Note that races can disable Hao’s Special Works. Quite a fair exchange seeing as a set of users will never get to buy from it.

BF Weevil Custom – Fastest Previous-Gen GTA Online Car

  • Type: Muscle
  • Top Speed: 137.5mph (221.3km/h)
  • Costs: $870,000 (Southern San Andreas Super Autos)
    • Conversion Cost: $980,000 (Benny’s Original Motor Works)
    • Total Needed: $1,850,000

For previous-gen and PC users, you can enjoy the fastest GTA Online car with the BF Weevil Custom as it has a top speed of 137.5mph (221.3km/h). Released October 27, 2022, you must buy and convert the OG Weevil car.

It does sit dangerously close to the sports car Ocelot Pariah in terms of top speed. With the updated Itali GTO Stinger TT, there’s nothing wrong choosing the charming BF Weevil Custom. If you don’t care much for the classic look, it never hurts going with the sleek and modern-looking Ocelot Pariah. That tops out at 136mph (218.9km/h), not a big difference from the BF Weevil Custom.
