Warhammer 40K: Darktide is the latest Left 4 Dead-styled horde action game from Fatshark, developer of the popular Warhammer: Vermintide series. Now instead of taking place in the Fantasy world, it’s your job as Rejects to clean out the Hive City Tertium of scum and villainy in the name of the God Emperor of Mankind, for in the far future of the year 40,000, there is only war. However, how can we engage in proper battles against the army of Chaos if we don’t know how our weapons work? For that reason, this article will discuss how the essential Finesse Stat work in Warhammer 40K: Darktide.
Warhammer 40K: Darktide – Finesse Stat Explained
Just like Vermintide, Darktide also features a number of unique (confusing) Stat names. In this game, the Finesse Stat refers to the Headshot and Weakpoint damage multiplier. Like critical hits in most games, damaging particular weak points of an enemy will deal higher damage. Of course, the higher your weapon’s Finesse Stat, the more devastating any Headshot or Weak Point damage it will deal.
Obviously, this Stat is only effective against Specials, Elites, and Bosses. But if you are looking for crowd-control weapons, then you don’t have to find one with Finesse. For example, the Chainsword is a good melee weapon for dealing with Trapper or Mauler, so it will have Finesse, while Shovel, that’s more suited for clearing out Cultists, won’t have the Stat.
Below are the basic explanations for all your weapon Stats in Warhammer 40K: Darktide, according to the community:
- Damage: Overall relative damage of your weapon.
- Ammo: Magazine size (guns).
- Penetration/Cleave Targets: How many enemies the weapon can pierce.
- Cleave Damage: How much damage do the pierced enemies receive.
- Finesse: Headshot and weak point damage multiplier.
- First Target: Damage done to the first enemy hit by the weapon.
- Mobility: Possibly related to dodge distance and/or the number of dodges.
- Stability: Recoil and/or Aim Down Sight sway control.
- Stamina: Bonus amount of Blocks you can do.
- Stopping Power: Stun effect for each hit.
