Here’s something that will blow your mind, because the upcoming puzzle-platformer, What Lies in the Multiverse, has dropped a brand-new trailer, which is dubbed by developers as “WTF even is this game” – so you can already tell that it’s going to be a bit of a mind-bender. We here at Nerd Stash brought you the news in January about the dimension-shifting comedy coming to consoles and PC on March 4th, and to keep those taste buds salivated until that anticipated date, you can attempt to wrap your head around this game’s epic new trailer below.

What Lies in the Multiverse - The "WTF Even is this Game?" Trailer (PC, PS4/5, Xbox + Switch)

So, What does Lie in the Multiverse then?

If you don’t know anything about What Lies in the Multiverse (where have you been first of all), then let’s take a trip into the multiverse itself. This puzzle-platformer is about worlds turned inside out, shifting dimensions with the very push of a button, attempting to solve face-melting brain twisters and highly astute riddles while racing through the wilderness of this exploratory multiverse. Anything can go wrong in this hilariously bleak adventure, and that’s what makes it so unique.

The multiverse is a popular storytelling tool these days, what with Spider-Man and Doctor Strange both adventuring where no man has been before. And What Lies in the Multiverse encompasses all possible worlds; it is basically a summation of everything that’s ever happened right in front of you.

Developers of the game Studio Voyager released the new trailer recently, and it does look fantastic, if not incredibly confusing. But the game itself is just that, so a trailer that accentuates this bizarreness is alright with me. IguanaBee (the developers of G.I. Joe: Operation Blackout) have assisted Studio Voyager all the way with their debut game, and their 10-year gaming experience will go a long way in the game’s success. Stay tuned for March 4th, when What Lies in the Multiverse will finally be released.
