Wendy Williams has been reunited with her family this week. After a video of the former talk show host surfaced over the weekend, fans were wondering what’s going on with Williams. She seemed to be doing well and was clearly spending time with her son, who she’s been cut off from for a couple of years now. New photos show the iconic daytime TV host reunited with other family members at her son’s graduation on Thursday.
Wendy Williams Family Reunited at Graduation Ceremony
The former talk show host was spotted over the weekend at Sista Sara’s Shonuff Oysters in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Williams was greeted with her famous catchphrase, “How you doin’?” She smiled and repeated the phrase back in response.
After seeing the clip, many of her fans believed that Wendy Williams looked a lot better than her court-appointed guardian said. Recently, Sabrina Morrissey submitted documents to the court stating that Williams is “permanently incapacitated.”
Her latest public appearance saw Wendy Williams reunited with some of her family members. Since the release of the Lifetime docuseries Where is Wendy Williams?, her family has been outspoken about not being able to be in contact with her. Now, she was able to be with her sister and father as they attended her son’s graduation in Florida.
It’s clear that Williams is having some mobility issues. She arrived at the venue in a bright red motorized wheelchair. Williams wore a sparkly dark dress with Chanel No. 5 shoes. She accessorized with various pieces of jewelry and a Louis Vuitton over-the-shoulder purse.
Other members of Wendy Williams’ family attended the commencement as well. Her dad, Thomas Williams Sr., also arrived in a wheelchair. Wanda Finnie, Williams’ sister, was also in attendance. In the audience, Williams was clearly proud of her son for his accomplishments. At one point, she clutched her hands together and looked amazed, wiping tears away from her face.
Fans Continue to Question Williams’ Guardianship & Health Status
Kevin Jr. graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. He initially started his college journey at Barry University, but he transferred to FIU in later years.
This is her second public appearance in the last week. As mentioned above, she was previously seen outside a restaurant in Ft. Lauderdale. Many fans couldn’t believe that she’s been labeled as “permanently incapacitated.” Several people claimed that there is “something off” about Williams’ guardianship and everything associated with it.
Either way, it looks like Wendy Williams is enjoying some family time ahead of the holidays after a lot of time apart.
