As many of you know, Marathon, just like Destiny 2, has maintenance periods where the servers go down for a while, and players need to wait a bit until they can log back in and start doing some looting and extracting. And while most of the time, Bungie shares the exact times where this process will end, in some cases, it takes a bit longer, making Runners wait a bit more. Well, here we have a quick guide to show you how to check when maintenance ends in Marathon and what to expect after it.
How To Check Marathon’s Maintenance Progress?
First, you should know that the easiest way to check when maintenance ends for Marathon is through the game’s social media accounts. There, Bungie gives timely updates regarding the status of Marathon‘s servers, so looking at them is the best you can do.
For instance, if you take a look at the Bluesky post above, you can see how it mentions the servers are back online, allowing players to log in, but Maintenance will end at 11 AM PDT.
How To Fix ‘Server Offline’ Error in Marathon
Contrary to other errors we have seen in the game, this one doesn’t have a real solution other than waiting. Many players jumping into Marathon at the start of Season 2 might have encountered an error mentioning that the servers were offline, and well, that happens due to the maintenance period still happening. However, in case it continues to occur, even after Bungie announced the end of maintenance, then that means servers might be overloaded, or there could be many players in the queue. If that’s the case, all you can do is wait a bit and let the servers breathe for a while until they allow entry to more Runners.
In short, just remember to keep an eye out for Bungie’s social media channels, especially the Bungie Server Status ones, as those are the ones that will indicate when you’re able to jump into Marathon. And if you’re struggling to log in, just restart the game a couple of times until you get back into the extraction shooter.
