Detective Pikachu Returns Release Date on the Nintendo Switch
It has been five years since the release date of the original Detective Pikachu on the Nintendo DS in 2018. Fortunately, fans will only have to wait a few months for Detective Pikachu Returns‘s release date. Nintendo has confirmed that Detective Pikachu Returns will release on October 6.
Nintendo released a trailer, featuring the game’s first footage. Detective Pikachu narrates the trailer, highlighting his unusual ability to speak a human language. The character also oddly has a gruff and deep voice, a complete contrast to the sweet and cheery voice of Ikue Ōtani.
The trailer showcases several Pokemon that Tim and Pikachu will encounter in their quest to find Harry. The Legendary Pokemon Mewtwo is among the Pokemon shown in the trailer. Mewtwo played a decisive role in the original game, hinting more about the mystery of Harry’s locket. Rumors suggest Mewtwo would play a bigger role in the Detective Pikachu follow-up.
