This article is over 1 years old and may contain outdated information.

Would you look at that, even the bees weren’t spared from radiation. In Fallout 76, they (and other insects with a sweet tooth) have mutated into the Honey Beast. As usual, they’re grotesque anomalies and are typically bunched up in a few key areas. If you want to find Honey Beasts or reliably farm them efficiently, I present you the most lucrative and accessible Honey Beast locations in Fallout 76.

Where to Find the Honey Beast in Fallout 76

[Updated May 23, 2024 – Revised the guide and added marked map locations]

Above are some of the ideal locations for Honey Beast hunting in Fallout 76. The four areas marked in red are relatively close to one another, allowing you to just farm them one after the other.

So I recommend starting south and then heading northward for your Honey Beast hunting rotation.

  1. South of Middle Mountain Pitstop (three guaranteed)
  2. Seneca Rocks Visitor Center
  3. Garden between The Whitespring Resort and The Whitespring Resort Gold Club
  4. Treetops

For a more reliable cluster, head first to the Middle Mountain Pitstop and walk south a bit towards Solomon’s Pond. You’ll usually find three Honey Beasts in the area.

Honey Beast Events

If you want the Honey Beasts to come to you instead, you can always wait for them in the following events.

These events have a chance of spawning Honey Beasts:

EventOccurence
Fasnacht DaySeasonal
Primal CutsSeasonal
Irrational FearRegular
Project ParadiseRegular
Safe and SoundRegular
Spin the WheelRegular

Note that some of these events don’t guarantee a 100 percent Honey Beast spawn chance. It still depends on your luck for certain events.

Other events also might have Honey Beasts in their enemy roster though the ones mentioned above tend to have the highest spawn chance.

Honey Beast Farming Tips

To make your Honey Beast farming smoother and less painful, I recommend following these tips.

  • Avoid melee if you’re low level.
  • Keep your distance and don’t get staggered.
  • Bring a fast weapon against Bloatflies (they sometimes accompany Honey Beasts).
  • Avoid Fire and Cryogenic weapons as they don’t do well against Honey Beasts.
  • If you can’t find any Honey Beast in the aforementioned locations, try to change servers. Other players might have cleared them.

Fallout 76 is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
