For some Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes players, fishing might seem relaxing, that is, until they get the quest to find a wheel-eye bream. If you didn’t know, this is the fish you need to catch to impress Huang, the game’s angler, and bring him back to your HQ as a recruit. While you could ignore this character, we don’t recommend it, as unlocking the fishing spot is necessary to build certain facilities, such as the race track or the theater.
Wheel-Eye Bream Location in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes
Finding the wheel-eye bream in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes will be tricky because it only appears in a fishing spot on the overworld, which is hard to find. As we mentioned in our fishing guide, most spots are on piers. However, this particular one is at the edge of the map and can be missed by many. Below is a picture of where to locate it.
To use this spot, travel or teleport to Seaside Cave and walk to the edge of the map. You’ll see the blue arrow appear, allowing you to start fishing. Remember that this fish is rare and will likely not appear during your first attempt. However, after playing for a while, I noticed fishing spots take around 5 minutes to respawn, so you can stay there and wait or fish somewhere else and return.
Return to Huang
After catching this slippery fish, you must return to Huang in Hishahn and talk to him. Once he acknowledges your angling skills, he’ll officially join the alliance, thus unlocking the fishing facility for your base.
Catching this red snapper-like fish might seem unnecessary, but we recommend doing so as soon as possible. To unlock things like the Mission Guild, a great way to get rare materials, you must first build the fishing spot. The only way to do that is by getting Huang into your ranks. While we don’t like how fishing blocks certain fun buildings in the game, it is at least a relaxing mechanic that doesn’t take a lot of time or effort to do, just plenty of patience.
